Act I

A cellában:

Tyrael: "So, Marius, at last I've found you."

Marius: "Tyrael! Yes. Yes, now... now I recognize you... you... I should have known you traveled in disguise. I...They're... they're always watching..."

Tyrael: "I've been searching for you for a long time, Marius. I was rather beginning to think you didn't want to be found."

Marius: "Oh, forgive me Tyrael, please! It... it wasn't my fault!"

Tyrael: "Not your fault? Tell me Marius, how was it not your fault?"

Marius: "The Wanderer! Yes, it was... was the Wanderer."

Marius elkezd visszaemlékezni:

Marius: "My days at the Rouge Citadel seem so long ago; I sought refuge from my memories in the company of other outcasts... High in the mountains, past the eastern gate."

Odamegy hozzá a kocsmáros:

Innkeeper: "Do you want something?"

Marius: "Ah, I fought sleep for days at that time... for when I dreamt the memories would return.
Memories of the Monastery and the Evil, which had claimed it... Dreams, memories... I couldn't tell the difference any more."

Belép a Vándor a fogadóba:

Marius: "Had the Evil from my dreams followed me in my heels? How had he found me here? How could this broken shell of a man, barely able to carry the weight of his own sword, be the burning terror, which drove me to hide here?"

A Vándor elkezd küzdeni valami láthatatlan erővel:

Marius: "He seemed to... to have demons of his own that he struggled to contain...

And he was losing..."

A démonok elszabadulnak:

Marius: "As I watched I became convinced that I was truly mad... The terror, the destruction, the Evil I witnessed... How else could I explain them? Were these the demons from my dreams, or were they born within the Wanderer?"

Vége a harcnak, a Vándor elhagyja a fogadót:

Marius: "Why did I follow him? I don't know. Why do things happen as they do in dreams? All I know is that when he beckoned I had to follow him. From that moment we traveled together east... Always into the east..."

Act I

A cellában:

Tyrael: "Nos Marius, végre megtaláltalak."

Marius: "Tyrael, igen... igen most már,.. már felismerlek. Tudhattam volna, hogy álruhában jársz. Ők mindig figyelnek."

Tyrael: "Régóta kereslek Marius. Már kezdtem azt hinni, hogy nem is akarod, hogy megtaláljalak."

Marius: "Oh, bocsáss meg nekem Tyrael, kérlek. Nem az én hibám volt."

Tyrael: "Nem a te hibád? Mondd csak Marius, hogyhogy nem a te hibád volt?"

Marius: "A Vándor, igen, a... a Vándor volt."

Marius elkezd visszaemlékezni:

Marius: "Réges-régen a Íjászok Fellegvárában töltöttem napjaim. A múltam elől kerestem menedéket, a többi kitaszított társaságában, magasan a hegyek között, a keleti kapun túl."

Odamegy hozzá a kocsmáros:

Kocsmáros: "Akarsz valamit?"

Marius: "Napokig nem aludtam, mert amikor álmodtam, az emlékek visszatértek, a kolostor emlékei, a gonoszé, ami megszállta. Álmok, emlékek, már meg sem tudtam őket különböztetni."

Belép a Vándor a fogadóba:

Marius: "A Gonosz, az álmaimból végig a sarkamban járt volna? Hogy talált itt rám? Hogy lehet ez a meggyötört porhüvely, ki még a saját kardját is alig bírja el, maga a tomboló terror, ami ide kergetett engem?"

A Vándor elkezd küzdeni valami láthatatlan erővel:

Marius: "Úgy tűnt neki is megvannak a maga démonjai, amiket megpróbált legyőzni.

Vesztésre állt..."

A démonok elszabadulnak:

Marius: "Ahogy néztem egyre biztosabb voltam benne, hogy teljesen megőrültem. A terror, a pusztítás a... a Gonosz, akiről bizonyságot szereztem, hogy másképp tudnám elmondani? Az álmaimból szabadultak el ezek a démonok, vagy a Vándorban keltek életre?"

Vége a harcnak, a Vándor elhagyja a fogadót:

Marius: "Miért követtem? Nem tudom. Miért történnek úgy a dolgok, mint az álmokban? Csak annyit tudok, hogy amikor intett, mennem kellett. Attól a pillanattól fogva együtt utaztunk keletnek... mindig csak keletnek."
